Coir ropes used as decorative elements in turned wood vases. Roanu Veshun in Dhievhi means the craft of making rope from the dried husk of coconuts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>&#8220;Roanu Veshun&#8221; (two words Roanu meaning Coir and Veshun meaning to spin) is a major craft in Maldivian tradition and living.  It is a special handicraft mastered by the women of the Nation.
