Heritage Gift Shop opened in Hanimadhoo
A new Heritage Gift shop has been opened at near Hanimadhoo airport .
Creative Arts & Crafts training Centre moves to H. DH. Hanimadhoo
Our workshop and training centre has moved to H.DH. Hanimadhoo. The reason why we have moved is that the rent of the building we have been leasing is too high and we are unable to finance the students joining the training centre.
Second Training Workshop in Lhaviyani

A second training workshop will be held in Naifaru, Lhaviyani Atoll from 19 January to 26 January. At the closing ceremony participants will be awarded with Certificates of Completion.

Creative Arts training workshop in Lhaviyani Atoll
A UNDP, EU sponsored training program is under way in Naifaru, Lhaviyani Atoll. This workshop started on the 2nd December and will continue till 17 December. Training is given by the instructors of CACTC to participants from 3 islands, Naifaru, Hinnavaru and Kuredhoo. It is hartening to note that there are 10 female participants out of 22.
At the end of the workshop participants will be given certificates of participation in woodturning, traditional laqueur works, making jewelry and objects of art out of nacre, coconut shells, shell craft, pyrography and designing ornaments.

French Red Cross & Creative Arts and Crafts Training Center in Laamu Gan
A training program is being conducted in Laamu Gan from 9th of April to 23rd of April (and still running), involving a total number of 16 participants.
The project has been funded by French Red Cross and training is given by CACTC by providing guidance and an instructor for one month.
The participants are being thought how to use basic tools and make simple ornaments and gift objects from materials mainly found in Gan Island.
In about 10 working days participants have produced 40 items and selling price of the total is estimated to be 3,000 MVR. Some of the products made by the participants are displayed in this exhibition.
