A UNDP, EU sponsored training program is under way in Naifaru, Lhaviyani Atoll. This workshop started on the 2nd December and will continue till 17 December. Training is given by the instructors of CACTC to participants from 3 islands, Naifaru, Hinnavaru and Kuredhoo. It is hartening to note that there are 10 female participants out of 22.

At the end of the workshop participants will be given certificates of participation in woodturning, traditional laqueur works, making jewelry and objects of art out of nacre, coconut shells, shell craft, pyrography and designing ornaments.
